Las Vegas has stars that are of the four-footed variety too. Not to mention reptiles, birds, beetles and aquatic life as well. For anyone who loves animals, whether you're a kid or an adult, you'll find a lot to see in Las Vegas. Why, you'll even find shows where animals are the stars of the performance and you could walk into a nightclub and find that it has its shows centered around animals. Las Vegas is definitely the place to be if you are seeking out make-believe and escapism.
If animals make you purr with delight, you must swing by the Southern Nevada Zoological-Botanical Park. This is certainly one of the smaller zoos you have been to but it makes up for it with some extremely rare animals. Here you will be lucky to see the last of the Barbary apes in America. You can also look at and enjoy the strange reptiles and emus, chimpanzees, flamingos and wallabies.
You can watch animals in Las Vegas, not just in the zoos but in museums too. You may just find some free performances. Of course, you'll find animal acts at some of the nightclubs as well. When in Vegas, don't miss the Mirage. Here, you'll find the White Tiger Habitat where you can see these glorious animals in a pristine white environment. Why white? So the animals can blend in and feel protected to some degree. Unfortunately, these animals are now extinct in the wild so you can count yourself fortunate to be able to see them and as a free exhibit at that!
Also at the Mirage, you'll find the Mirage Aquarium with its huge faux coral reef and sixty species that belong to the coral reefs from all over the world. This 20,000-gallon saltwater aquarium is just behind the front desk and displays a host of bizarre sea creatures. You'll also discover the Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat here. This provides a good environment for these incredible animals and is also a remarkable place for people to discover the role they play in the biosphere. If you are over 13, you might pay a price and become a trainer for a day and this makes for a memorable experience.
If you'd like some more glimpses into marine life, remember to visit the Mandalay Baby Shark Reef which turns out to be among the largest when it comes to marine shows in the U.S. There is an entrance fee but it's worth paying that fee because it really is one of the best outings you can have in Las Vegas. All this is just a foretaste of what Vegas can provide. There's a lot more to see of course. If you love animals, you'll find so much that will appeal to you in Vegas.
